Node operator identity verification, sanctions and privacy

Which nodes require verification

Nodes deployed before identity verification was introduced do not require identity verification for their payouts. Nodes deployed after it was introduced require it: under Section 5 of the Terms, the operator must be identified, screened and approved before the node term starts or external hardware is registered, and before any payout on that node is released. This applies to TokenOS-provisioned nodes, to operators who bring their own GPU, and to the authorized representative and main owners of a company. A node deployed after verification was introduced requires verification even if the same operator's earlier nodes did not.

Verification is free. You must be 18 or older, must verify your own identity, and may hold only one operator identity.

What verification covers

Section 5 of the Terms sets out what verification covers:

• Individuals complete identity verification (KYC) with an unexpired government passport, national identity card or driver's licence and a live selfie. Photocopies, paper copies, screenshots and expired documents are not accepted. Proof of address dated within the last three months is requested only in some cases. There are three automated attempts per check, after which a person reviews it.
• Companies complete business verification (KYB): the legal name, registration number, jurisdiction and address are verified, the authorized representative is verified and shows authority to act, the ownership structure is disclosed, and every person who owns 25 percent or more is verified. A person reviews every company application.
• Operators, company owners and payout wallets are screened against government sanctions lists.
• Under Section 5.2, each operator confirms whether they are an accredited investor under US Regulation D or participate solely as an independent business or contractor supplying computing services, and re-confirms at least yearly. Which one applies is a question for your own adviser; TokenOS support cannot advise on it.
• Under Section 5.3(f), US operators provide IRS Form W-9 and non-US operators the applicable Form W-8 before payouts are released.

Where verification happens

Verification happens only inside your own compute.tokenos.ai dashboard, which opens a secure window run by our verification provider, Didit. There is no other way to verify. If your node requires verification and you cannot find the option in your dashboard, open a ticket. Never send identity documents by email, Telegram, chat or ticket.

Payout wallet

Under Section 5.5 of the Terms, each operator has one active payout wallet, and Solana is the primary supported chain. The wallet that paid for the node can be adopted as the payout wallet once it is screened. Any other wallet must sign a one-time message in the dashboard to prove control; an address cannot simply be typed in. After a wallet change there is a 48-hour hold before the first payout to the new address, with a notice to your verified email. Nobody at TokenOS can change a payout wallet on request.

Payout holds

For nodes that require verification, Section 5.6 of the Terms releases a payout only when, at the time of release, the operator is active, verification is current, sanctions screening is clear, the payout wallet is verified, the node is approved and payouts are enabled. If any of these fails, the payout is held and a person reviews it. A hold is not a forfeiture: held amounts are released when the condition is resolved, except where the law requires property to be blocked. TokenOS aims to decide standard cases within two business days and enhanced-review cases within five. A compliance hold applies to one account and is separate from the general payout timing described in the Node payout status article.

Re-verification

There is no yearly identity re-verification. Under Section 5.6(c) of the Terms, you re-verify when your ID expires, when your country of residence or hardware location changes, when a company's ownership or representative changes, when your payout wallet changes, or after 24 months of inactivity, and you must tell TokenOS about such changes within five business days. Sanctions screening repeats in the background and needs nothing from you.

Payment before verification

Under Section 5.7 of the Terms, if a node term is paid for before verification is complete, the term does not start and the funds are held unapplied. If verification is not completed within 30 days of payment, the order is cancelled and the funds are returned, net of network fees, to the originating wallet only, after that wallet is screened. Refunds never go to any other address.

Sanctions and restricted places

Under Section 6 of the Terms, which applies to all users including stakers and compute buyers, TokenOS does not provide services to anyone located in, resident in or organized in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, to anyone on a government sanctions list, or to any company owned 50 percent or more by listed persons. Using a VPN, proxy or other means to disguise your location is prohibited. Most other countries are supported, and some need extra review. Where a sanctions match is confirmed, funds may be blocked as the law requires and are not returned.

Privacy

Our verification provider, Didit (Didit Identity, Inc. and its affiliate Didit Identity Spain, S.L.), collects the ID images, the selfie and the liveness capture in its own window, including biometric information from the geometry of the face, used only to match the selfie to the ID, detect spoofing and detect the same face across accounts. Didit asks for consent in its window, stores this data in the European Union and does not use it to train its models. For ID documents from some countries, Didit also asks for an email address. TokenOS receives only the result, the verified legal name, date of birth, country of residence, document type, issuing country and expiry date, and a summary of screening results. TokenOS does not receive or store ID images, selfies, biometric data, full document numbers or home addresses. Didit deletes ID and biometric data two years after the verification session. TokenOS keeps verification outcomes and screening records for ten years after the relationship ends because US sanctions rules require it. TokenOS does not sell personal information. Scam warning

The only genuine way to verify is inside your own compute.tokenos.ai dashboard. TokenOS staff will never send a verification link by Telegram, never ask you to send identity documents, a selfie, a seed phrase or a private key by email, ticket, chat, telephone or Telegram, and never ask you to change a payout wallet. Anyone who does is a scammer. Report it by opening a ticket, and never attach identity documents to a ticket.
